Post Office/Evri social media prize draw terms and conditions

  1. Definitions: 

  1. Promoter: Post Office Limited, 100 Wood Street, London, EC2V 7ER

  1. Promotional period: From 19 December 2023 to 26 December 2023

  2. Prize provider: Evri. Evri is the trading name of Hermes Parcelnet Limited. Registered in Capitol House, 1 Capitol Close, Morley, Leeds, LS27 0WH 

  3. Closing date: 26 December 2023

  1. This prize draw (the “Prize Draw”) is open to UK residents aged 18 or over except employees of Post Office Limited, Post Office Postmasters, employees of Evri, their families, agents of employees or Postmasters who work in Post Office branches or anyone professionally connected with the promotion. 

  1. Entry into the Prize Draw will be taken as complete opt-in to the Prize Draw and acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

  1. There is no entry fee and no purchase is necessary to enter this Prize Draw. 

  1. The Prize Draw will commence at 17:00 GMT on 19 December 2023 and all entries must be received by 11:59 GMT on 26 December 2023. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries that are incomplete, ineligible, corrupted or fail to be submitted by the relevant closing date for any reason, including technical interruption, fault or website failure. Such entrees will be deemed invalid. Proof of sending is not proof of receipt. Entries via agents or third parties are not accepted. 

  1. To enter, entrants must (I) like the post (II) answer the post question ‘What was the last thing you posted?' (III) use the hashtag #Postitlikeapro and follow both @UKPostOffice and @Evridelivery on Instagram, OR @PostOffice and @Evridelivery on Facebook depending on the platform used to enter. 

  1. Winners will be drawn at random by an electronic algorithm from all valid entries on or after 26/12/2023. 

  1. The prize is 1 (one) of 10 (ten) £100 One4All Digital Gift Cards (the “Prize”).

  1. The Prize is non-transferrable, and no cash alternative will be offered. 

  1. Prizes are subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, Post Office and Evri reserve the right to (a) substitute alternative prizes of equivalent or greater value and (b) in exceptional circumstances, amend or foreclose the Prize Draw without notice. No correspondence will be entered into. 

  1. By entering this Prize Draw each entrant confirms that their submissions are their wholly owned creations and that, to the extent that such entries make use of any third-party materials, these have been fully cleared unless they are no longer protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. 

  1. By submitting an entry, each entrant grants Post Office and Evri a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to edit, publish, translate, modify, adapt, make available and distribute the entry throughout the world in any media now known or hereafter invented. 

  1. Each entrant also confirms that anyone depicted in an entry has given their permission for the inclusion of their image in the entry and the use of the entry including their image by the entrant and Post Office/Evri. 

  1. The Promoter will notify the Winner of their win via DM or Messenger and ask that, within 4 weeks after the Closing Date, the Winner emails social@postoffice.co.uk stating the name of the Prize Draw in the subject heading and providing an email address, first name, surname, date of birth and postcode for the Prize to be administered. 

  1. The Promoter will send the Prize to the Winner by email within 2 weeks of receipt of the DM or Messenger message. 

  1. This Prize Draw is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by or associated with Instagram, Facebook or any other social network, or with Meta Platforms Inc. You are providing your submission to Post Office Ltd and Evri and not to any other party. This prize draw is also not endorsed by One4all Gift Card, or any of the brands available under the gift card.

  2. One4All Gift Cards and Egift Cards are subject to terms and conditions, which can be found at https://www.one4all.com/terms-conditions. The One4all Digital Gift Card is issued by GVS Prepaid Limited. GVS Prepaid Limited is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011 (register ref 900230) for the issuing of electronic money.

  3. Entrants to the prize draw can, at any time (including on or before the date of entry), object to all or some of their personal information being made available by emailing social@postoffice.co.uk. However, the Promoter shall provide the information to competent authorities upon request from such competent authorities including, but not limited to, the Advertising Standards Authority. 

  4. Subject to these terms and conditions and the Post Office privacy notice (set out below), and without prejudice to the Promoter’s data protection obligations under relevant law, the Promoter shall make available upon receipt of a written request to social@postoffice.co.uk the winner’s initial and surname, town (or county or city) and a copy of the winning entry. The Promoter may choose to make this information publicly available too, subject to these terms and conditions and the Post Office privacy notice. 

  5. By participating in this promotion, you agree to release, discharge and hold us harmless from any and all injuries, liability, losses and damages of any kind resulting from your participation in this promotion to the fullest extent permitted by law (save that nothing shall limit our liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by our negligence).  

  6. This promotion cannot be used in conjunction with any other promotion.  

  7. These terms and conditions and any issues or disputes which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions (whether such disputes or issues are contractual or non-contractual in nature, such as claims in tort, for breach of statute or regulation or otherwise) shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Entrants hereby irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any such dispute or issues. 

  8. Entry to this prize draw will be taken as acceptance of the following full terms and conditions of this prize draw and the Post Office privacy notice at postoffice.co.uk/privacy.

These terms and conditions provide information about how we use your personal data for the purposes of running the Prize Draw and need to be read together with the main Post Office privacy policy at postoffice.co.uk/privacy. We collect your social media name/handle. Your information will not be transferred or accessed outside of the UK. We use this data to assess your eligibility for the Prize Draw, to administer the Prize Draw and to produce anonymised statistics. By providing your details and agreeing to the terms and conditions, you are consenting to the use of your personal information for these purposes. By law, we need to make the initial, surname and town (or county or city) of the winner available on request. Your personal data will be retained by Post Office for 12 weeks after the Prize Draw has ended.
