Common questions

  • Yes, if you’re sending goods or gifts anywhere outside the UK. The exception is if you’re sending from Northern Ireland to the EU. You can fill in a customs form online or pick one up in branch. Find your local branch using branch finder.

As well as written customs form, we also need to provide the customs information electronically to comply with international posting regulations. So we’ll input these details at the counter when you’re buying your postage.

  • Some goods can’t be sent in the post and others can be sent but with clear restrictions.

Some countries have their own rules on what they will and won’t allow to be sent by post. It's important to check the item you’re sending is allowed in the destination country so we’ll pay compensation in the event of loss or damage.

Check for any restrictions on what you can send to certain individuals, organisations and countries imposed by some countries and international organisations.
