See where your ski money will go further

The annual Post Office Travel Money Ski Report looks at the costs of short winter sports trips for adults and families in Europe. It shows where you can get the most for your money.

This year’s report finds prices have dropped in a third of the resorts we checked, while others have only small increases. Italy’s Bardonecchia is the best value for adult skiing again. And, with the pound stronger against the euro than last year, smart skiers can find great deals.

The report, produced with Crystal Ski Holidays, compares costs like lift passes, ski and boot hire, lessons and snacks at 36 adult and 30 family-friendly resorts in Europe.

To save money on your ski trip, check the key findings here or download the full report for details on individual costs.

Make sure your travel insurance has you covered

Make sure your travel insurance covers everything you need. You might need extra cover for winter sports. This helps if your equipment is lost, damaged, or stolen, or if you need emergency medical help or face problems like piste closure.

Remember, a UK Global Health Insurance Card (Ghic) gives some medical cover in EU countries but not everything. Always check the latest travel advice from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) for your destination. Travelling against their advice could invalidate your cover.
